The average member who has their services with MPECU saves, on average, $785 a year in better rates and lower fees. As a financial cooperative, we are here to serve our members with the best products and services.
MPECU is a credit union which is only open to select employer groups and members of their families/households. To become a member, you must fill out a membership application and establish a savings account with a $5.00 minimum balance—that allows you access to all other MPECU services.
- Full-time or Part-time, Contract, Interns, and Temporary Employees of our Employer Groups
- Spouses, children, step-children, parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews of current members (relation can be through blood or adoption)
- A non-relative living with a current member
Once a member, always a member
If you leave the employment of a partner group, you and any of your family members who have accounts, can remain a member of MPECU.
Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What This Means to You
When you open a new account, we will ask you for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
To get started with an MPECU membership, stop in to any of our locations or give us a call during normal business hours. Or, if you prefer, click below to open an account online!
Online Account Opening Information
Take precaution and do not use a public computer, such as in a library or shared environment, for entering your personal information.
If we are unable to reasonably verify you or your eligibility to join MPECU, you may be required to finish the online account opening in person.
