No more searching around for which ATM is free! As an MPECU debit card holder, all domestic ATMs are free to you. Simply accept the fee at the ATM and MPECU will reimburse the fee back to your checking account the next business day. It’s our way to make getting your cash more convenient!
Your MPECU Debit Card is the easy way to make purchases and withdraw cash from ATMs. We also allow you to withdraw additional cash as a part of your purchase with participating merchants. The Mastercard® debit card is accepted worldwide, and protected by chip and PIN technology for enhanced security.
If you are traveling with your debit cards, please contact us to prevent your cards from being suspended for suspicious activity.
Fraud Monitoring and Notification
When our card processor detects unusual activity on your debit card, they will notify you to prevent fraudulent charges from posting to your account, or to verify that you really did authorize the purchase.
It’s important to keep your phone number updated with MPECU so you can receive these notifications.
Text Messages – all texts for this service will come from 72718
A text message from Shazam will notify you of unusual card activity. The text will state the last 4 digits of your card, the merchant name, and the dollar amount. You will NOT be asked to provide your card number. Reply Yes to confirm or No to deny. There is no charge for these text alerts.
Voice Calls – all calls for this service will come from 855-219-5399
If you can’t receive texts, or don’t respond to the text notification, you will receive an automated call to verify the unusual activity. The call will state the last 4 digits of your card, the dollar amount of the transaction, and the name of the merchant. You will be asked to confirm if you made the transaction. Be cautious of scam calls that ask you to provide information, such as your full card number.
The SHAZAM BOLT$ APP
Allows you to access debit card information from your mobile device. BOLT$ adds another layer of protection to your debit card by allowing you to set up transaction or suspicious activity alerts, and temporarily deactivate your card.
