Scholarships

We’re teaming up again with the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation to award $16,000 in scholarships!

This year, 16 Minnesota credit union members will have the opportunity to cut the cost of college. Any member of MPECU currently pursing post-secondary education OR a high school senior graduating in 2023 is eligible to apply.

Application deadline is November 30, 2022.

This year’s essay question is:

With rising costs of living, how has this impacted your financial goals and how can your credit union help achieve them? (Essay tip: Share your personal story; use the specifics you identified in the preliminary questions to write your essay).

MPECU also awards two $1,000 scholarships for University of Minnesota-Duluth’s Labovitz School of Business and Economics.

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist LSBE juniors and seniors who have declared a major in the school. To be considered, students must be a full time LSBE student; have declared their major in LSBE; and be in good academic standing. Preference will be granted to a student who is a MPECU member or is active in community service.
